Create a Yahoo account. Choose a username that best describes your blog. This will be the name which appears alongside each question you answer. Login and fill out your profile information. Fill out your profile information and make sure you include the URL of your blog, your favorite categories and any other information that will help users identify you. Click on the 'Advanced' option next to the 'Search for questions' box. This is how you will locate relevant questions that you can answer. Select keywords relevant to the topic you want to promote. Be as specific as possible to narrow down your search, and select the 'All' radio button. Choose a category.
You can narrow down the search with a category, simply select 'All'. Select 'Open Questions' in the Question Status box. This will show you only the questions that still need to be answered. Resolved and undecided questions are not of any use to you because you can no longer submit an answer or response. Click the 'Search' button. This will return all relevant open questions related to your query. Review the search results to find someone who is asking the question you can answer with your post or comments. Select the question. This will take you to the complete question and give you an option to 'Answer the Question' and review other people's responses. Select 'Answer the Question'. This will take you to the main page where you can submit the details of your response.
Fill out the 'Your Answer' box. Write your response in plain English, and include a link to your blog as needed. Add your blog link in the 'Know your Source?' box. This will provide a direct link to your blog as well. Click 'Preview.' This will show you how what your response will look like among all of the answers to the question. Click 'Submit'. This will notify the person asking the question that there is a new answer available, and now your answer with the blog link will show up on the main question page.
